At the College Matters Institute, high school students experience an intensive 3-day college readiness training program designed to help them overcome the many challenges of attaining a college degree. Our skilled facilitators deliver research-based curriculum in an engaging format that shows students the value of a college education and prepares them to make this goal a reality.

Interactive sessions teach attendees:

• College Fit - how to choose the right school

• College Search - how to navigate the college acceptance process

• Financial Aid - how to develop a plan to pay for school

Your students will walk away with completed scholarship applications, a resume, a written college plan, and a powerful network of support.

FOCUS Training will coordinate all daily programming, a mock college fair, and optional
evening sessions. The College Matters Institute is held in a location of your choice. Many partners choose a college campus to give participants greater exposure to the college environment. Up to 250 students can be accommodated at each camp.
