Dr. Zaneta Ivy-Bailey currently serves as the Director of Compliance at the University of Memphis, overseeing the compliance needs of sports such as men's and women's basketball, football, softball, men's tennis and women's golf. Dr. Ivy-Bailey has a strong background in compliance, student-athlete welfare, and support services, including Title IX matters. Before her time at the University of Memphis, Dr. Ivy-Bailey spent over five years as the Assistant Athletics Director for Academics at Howard University. She has also worked at Florida International University, the University of Utah and the University of Arkansas. Dr. Ivy-Bailey is a member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A), the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC), and the University of Memphis Staff Senate Executive Committee. Dr. Ivy-Bailey grew up in Memphis and was a hurdler for the University of Memphis. She received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science, master's degree in Education with a concentration in Sports Management, and her doctoral degree Global Sport Leadership. Dr. Ivy-Bailey has nearly 20 years of experience within collegiate athletics.
