Job Description + Company Overview

FOCUS Training is looking for highly motivated and creative individuals to join their Marketing Team. FOCUS delivers high-energy, in-person leadership and college readiness programs to students across the U.S. As a leadership development company, FOCUS Training uses experiential learning techniques, dynamic trainers, and deep content to deliver exceptional leadership development experiences. The Multimedia Specialist(s) will play a key role in capturing, organizing, and delivering high-quality photography and videography to support marketing, social media, and promotional efforts. Specialists will travel with experienced trainers to capture educational programs for middle and high school students. Specialists can expect to do a combination of virtual and in-person work, dependent on CDC health and safety guidelines.

Job Overview

• End of May through end of July commitment with opportunity to advance

• Capture high-quality photos and videos during FOCUS Training programs and events

• Capture daily notes alongside visuals on each student program to aid copywriting 

• Proactively identify content opportunities to enhance program marketing and visibility

• Manage media equipment and ensure its safety, upkeep, and proper use

• Provide quick turnaround on visual content for social media, publications, and websites

• Travel domestically for media coverage of programs if/when needed

• Interact with clients and students in a professional manner

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience with DSLR cameras, video equipment, and editing software 

• Willing to travel for on-location shoots and work non-traditional hours

• Ability to lift equipment (up to 50 pounds) and stand for prolonged periods of time

• Must be available to travel between the end of May through the end of July 2025 (including some weekends) as assigned

• Must have access to a computer with a working webcam and reliable internet access

• Must be able to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination for company travel 

• If you are currently a college student, you must also have:

• Junior status or higher from a regionally accredited college or university 

• 2.8 GPA or higher

• Paid position (Specialists will be paid a total of $1500 for the Freelance period, including the end of May Bootcamp training through the end of July.)
