Job Description + Company Overview
FOCUS Training is looking for highly motivated students to join our Leadership Trainer Intern team. FOCUS delivers high-energy, in-person leadership and college readiness programs to students across the U.S. Interns will do a combination of virtual and in-person work, dependent on CDC health and safety guidelines. Interns will travel with experienced trainers to facilitate interactive programs for middle and high school students. They will learn to lead a team, develop and deliver educational workshops effectively, and polish their public speaking skills. As a leadership development company, FOCUS Training uses experiential learning techniques, dynamic trainers, and deep content to deliver exceptional leadership development experiences.
Job Overview
End of May through end of July commitment
Facilitate interactive leadership programs for 6th - 12th-grade student groups ranging in size from 10 to 200+ participants
Utilize Zoom and various virtual learning platforms to work remotely with FOCUS staff and student participants when necessary
Travel domestically for program facilitation if/when needed; travel-associated costs to be paid for by FOCUS Training
Interact with clients and students in a professional manner
Assist in developing content and creating interactive leadership activities
Requirements
Junior status or higher from a regionally accredited college or university
2.8 GPA or higher
Must be available to travel between end of May through the end of July 2023 (including some weekends) when assigned
Demonstrated leadership experience
Previous public speaking or facilitation experience preferred but not required
Must have access to computer with working webcam and reliable internet access
Must be able to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination for company travel

Paid internship (Interns will be paid a total of $2000 for the internship period, including the end of May Bootcamp training through the end of July.)
Hybrid experience of remote work and domestic travel
